Love is wonderful

Podcast

Host: Hello everyone, you are listening to the episode 1 of "Love is wonderful" podcast. My name is Kathrine and I will be your host today. As you know, time flies and the ways we find love have changed. These days, we just need some simple pictures of our faces then post them online, wait for a few minutes then *ting *ting we have some new friends. And now, I would like to bring to you guys some amazing stories about online dating that are too cute to handle. Let's hear a story from a very adorable couple that I just found from my trip to Saigon. Hi Rome and June, can you introduce yourself a little bit?

Rome: Hi Kathrine! My name is Rome, I’m working as a senior software engineer and this is my girlfriend June, a photographer.

Host: So,tell me how do you guys meet?

June: I was about to deactivate my Tinder account that day when I decided to give it just a few last swipes out of boredom. Suddenly, I got a match from Rome. A few seconds later, he texted me and asked me where to buy flour.

Host: Flour?

Rome: It was an emergency case. My mom told me to buy her some flour, but I totally forgot. Idk why I decided to use Tinder during the last few minutes before I died, but then I actually found my savior there.

June: I was just about a kilometer far from his place. He seemed panic and was dumb with directions, so he asked me to take him to the department store. I agreed for fun and gave him a fake meeting point because I didn’t believe him then.

Rome: Yeah I also didn’t think she would agree to meet me.It’s totally unbelievable.

June: I thought he wouldn’t show up, but surprisingly he did.

Host: But how did you know that he actually showed up?

June: Because I gave him my neighbour’s address. About five minutes later, I saw him standing in front of my neighbour’s door already. I continued fooling with him by texting him to ask if he had arrived yet.

Rome: I can’t believe she could be joking with someone’s life like that (serious tone)

June: I went outside to meet him. On the way to the shop, he told many jokes and that really pulled me out of my stress from work.

Rome: She is still having stress very often and I’m running out of ridiculous stories to calm her down

Host: (Laugh) I would die of laughing if I had a boyfriend like that. Do you feel tired laughing all the time, June?

June: He’s always funny like that, but sometimes he can be romantic too. One night, he sang very loudly in front of my house that my neighbors called the police to arrest him.

Host: And why did he do that?

June: Because I was mad at him, so he wrote me a sorry song.

Host: I’m so jealous of you guys. I’m sure you didn’t think that a guy you accidentally matched on Tinder would be your boyfriend for such a long time, right?

Rome: No no no, I will only be her bf until Sunday then I’m done.

Host: Why? What do you mean?

Rome: Cause we will have our wedding next week. Now I’m trapped with this crazy woman. Wish me luck!

Host: That is so sweet! My friends, they are so lucky that they found each other but seems like for some people, they are not that lucky. My next guest is a typical example. Welcome Caroline! I am dying to hear your story. You seem disappointed, didn’t you?

Caroline: Well, I didn’t trust them from the beginning. Well, I tried Tinder, but I can say that I did not hope for any magical thing to happen, I just wanted to see how it went.

Host: I reckon it took you awhile to find someone

Caroline: So about a week after, I finally swiped right. He texted me first, and we did had a good talk in the first 2 days, but then he ghosted on me right after that.

Host: Completely vanished? But I think that it’s quite common on these platform

Caroline: I learnt that later on, but for someone who just started using it, it is quite a bad impression.

Then after tons of matches, I only had 1 date.

Host: That’s…not too bad right? I mean… You had one. So how did it go???

Caroline: So a few months ago, I finally agreed to meet someone. Everything from his profile is amazing, he is good looking, and he even has his own car. But you know what? He did have the same car, but maybe “a bit” older than he said, 15 years older to be precise, he’s 40. And he’s not even the same guy from the profile picture

Host: OMG, you got catfished on your first tinder date. That’s unbelievable!

Caroline: It sucked but I guess for me it didn’t really matter after all.

Host: I can see why you’re a bit pessimistic with online dating. That’s it guys. Oh btw, this podcast is sponsored by skillshare. If you want to know how to flirt with someone, please check it out. Have a nice day and see you next week! Bye!
